SMCC’s A Light on the Point, celebrating the colleges successes by paying tribute to alumni, faculty, staff and the business community for contributions to SMCC and beyond.
This year’s event will raise funds in support of SMCC’s Advocacy Resource Center (ARC). The ARC can provide some of the most critically vulnerable student populations with funding towards items that are essential for them to attend college, complete their education, and support the workforce.
At SMCC, our students face significant challenges in their academic journey, particularly in two crucial areas: Housing Assistance and Transportation. These are the areas with the least resources in our community for student support. However, the ARC, with its unique role, can make a substantial impact in these areas, helping our students overcome these hurdles and succeed in their education.
Join us on Thursday, November 7th at the Ocean View Dining Center as we recognize the outstanding contributions of our award winners while financially supporting the ARC. Tickets sales, sponsorship opportunities, and our silent auction await your selections!
